Yesterday I sat
on three airplanes
to get here.

My iPod died
by the last leg
so I watched
a documentary on bears
through the crack
of the seats
in front of me,
and although I have never seen a bear
in real time,
I cannot deny
how similar I am
to their mannerisms,

fur, fury
and declaration these days.
